Panel members are appointed with a strong focus on both expertise and diversity. For mediation, LCAM appoints from this panel only. For arbitration, recommendations and appointments are made from this panel and also outside of the panel where that is appropriate. Parties may also nominate their own arbitrators, with party-chosen arbitrators subject to approval from the LCAM Advisory Board.
